About
Join us for a special afternoon during the University of Sydney Community Festival to explore the story of Seymour, from its rich past to its future possibilities. In this free community event, Robert Love will reflect on Seymour's history, sharing insights, stories and memories from his time in Seymour leadership. Following this, Joanne Kee will discuss the future of Seymour, the upcoming opportunities, aspirations and what lies ahead. With a Q&A to round out the event, it's a great chance to join the conversation about Seymour's ongoing journey. Join us post show in the courtyard for Seymour Sounds , an intimate series of back-to-back live sets from the heavyweights and rising stars of Sydney’s vibrant jazz and neo-soul underground scenes. Whether you're a long-time attendee or newcomer, this is a chance to connect with the people and ideas shaping Seymour. Learn more about the University of Sydney Community Festival . Joanne Kee, Artistic Director of the Seymour Centre, is reimagining the venue as a contemporary cultural hub where artists and audiences connect, and new voices shape the future of performance. Previously, as Executive and Creative Producer of Riverside’s National Theatre of Parramatta, she built the company into a nationally recognised force and a strong ecosystem for artists. Her broader leadership includes Chair of Ausdance NSW, where she initiated Critical Path; Artistic Director of the Sydney Improvised Music Association; and roles with Sydney Opera House and Arts Council England, reflecting her commitment to equity, representation and bold storytelling.
